Our annual Military Ball is social event where cadets and their guest
can dance and have fun. Occassionally, corp commanders from local units
will visit our function. Altogether, this is a highly anticipated event.
With the culture of New Orleans comes the annual Mardi gras festival.
Every year, a line of parades are scheduled with floats, bands, and school
marching bands and dance teams. With this oppourtunity, LA-934 marches
along with the RHS Cheerleaders and Scottish Brigade. In these parades,
the Color Guard fronts the unit, followed by our Sabre Team, then our Flag
Team, displaying the colors of the 50 states. Many cadets look forward
to these events to show the resedents of the New Orleans Metropolitan Area
and tourists alike their unit pride and AFJROTC uniforms.
Throughout the school year, picnics are held to
award cadets for their outstanding performances and dedication. At these
picnics in attendance are our SASI and ASI. These picnics allow cadets
to relax and socialize with their fellow cadets.
